My first attempt at joining an online dating website was with a different popular site that does a lot of advertising on television.
Due to the high level of advertising, I assumed that there would be lots of lots of people on the website and that the site must be doing well if it had that sort of marketing budget. While there were a lot of members, I just never really felt comfortable there and never really connected with anyone as I had hoped to.
